National Patient Survey Results 2010 - August 2010 |
Thank you to the 215 patients from this surgery, who took part in the latest survey.
The survey was carried out nationwide and over 2 million patients took part of which nearly 16 thousand were from Buckinghamshire.
The survey is part of the Department of Health’s commitment to ensure the NHS is more responsive to patients’ needs and will give them a better picture of people’s experiences of their local NHS service.
Ipsos MORI, an independent survey agency, administered the survey on behalf of the Department of Health.
The survey asks patients about a range of issues, such as how easy or difficult it is for patients to make an appointment at their surgery, satisfaction with opening hours, the quality of care received from their GP and practice nurses, amongst other things.
The Department of Health has set some standards for how easy it should be for people to book an appointment with their doctor. The survey measures how well GP surgeries are meeting these standards and can help surgeries and Primary Care Trusts understand where improvements are needed.
The survey is an opportunity for patients to have their say about how well their practice is doing at providing these services to patients.
Overall this Practice obtained pleasing scores. 93% of patients who completed questionnires sent to them were very or fairly satisfied with the care received. The score for England as a whole was 90%.
Results are published on the web at www.gp-patient.co.uk.
A poster is also in our waiting room with the results.
